- No chargebacks on-chain: what a refund looks like when an agent pays in USDC
10/2/2026
Card payments can be disputed after the fact. A settled USDC transfer can't be. When an agent pays the wrong amount or pays twice, getting money back depends entirely on the recipient sending it.
- x402 facilitator vs resource server: who shows up on-chain, and what counts as your spend
10/2/2026
An x402 payment involves three parties, but only some of them appear in the token transfer. If you count spend from the wrong field, you either miss payments or credit them to the wrong counterparty.
- USDC has 6 decimals: the unit bugs that break agent spend numbers
10/2/2026
A USDC Transfer event stores an integer, not dollars. If you read that integer with the wrong number of decimals, every total you build on it is wrong by a power of ten.
- Base sequencer, safe and finalized blocks: which one counts as spent
10/2/2026
Base is an OP Stack rollup. Its RPC exposes three views of the chain head. Picking the wrong one makes a spend dashboard either jumpy or slow.
- EIP-3009 nonces, replay, and how agent spend gets deduplicated
10/1/2026
x402 payments on Base mostly settle through USDC's transferWithAuthorization. Its nonce model is not the account nonce you know, and that changes how you should count spend.
- Which USDC? Contract Addresses, Bridged Tokens and Spoofed Transfers on Base
9/30/2026
On-chain, "USDC" is only a symbol string, and anyone can deploy a token that uses it. If you identify an agent's spend by symbol instead of by contract address, you can double-count bridged balances and pick up fake transfers.
- Solana Token Accounts: Why Watching an Agent's Address Can Miss Its USDC
9/29/2026
On Solana, an agent's USDC is not held at the address you gave us. It sits in one or more token accounts that the address owns. If your tracker only watches the owner address, some of the spend can go missing without any error.
- When Does an Agent Payment Count? Finality, Reorgs, and Spend Tracking on Base and Solana
9/28/2026
An agent's USDC payment can show up onchain within seconds and still not be final. A spend tracker has to decide how settled a transaction must be before it counts toward a budget. This post covers the commitment levels on Base and Solana, what can still change at each one, and how to build an ingest cursor that stays correct when a block gets replaced.
- Signed Is Not Spent: x402 Authorization vs Settlement
9/27/2026
When an agent pays for an x402 resource it signs a payment, but it does not send one. Someone else broadcasts it later, or never. The time between signing and settling decides what your spend records should count. Mixing up the two is one of the quietest ways agent spend numbers drift away from the chain.
- What is an agent wallet? A glossary of agent spend terms for Base and Solana
9/26/2026
An agent wallet is a blockchain address whose transactions are started by software, not by a person clicking approve. That one-line definition hides a dozen terms (facilitator, transferWithAuthorization, associated token account, finality) that decide whether you can explain your agent's spend later. This is the glossary the GetAgentCap team wishes existed when we started, with each term defined the way it behaves on-chain.
